Thursday, 3 November 2016

Hello my lovely SUWK dolls, I wanna say a happy new month to the Kim's blog fam and sorry this is coming on the 3rd day of the month already and not earlier. All I pray for is God's favour upon our lives this remaining days to the end of 2016. It has been a great year so far, especially for the Kim's blog family, it wouldn't be wrong if I use this opportunity to thank everyone that supported us in one way or the other to reach this point in the blogshere. More thanks to our readers who come here daily to read our posts, we appreciate everything.

Back to what this post is all about, I'm leaving you some tips on how not to dress boring to work. Usually people think when you are dressing to work, you can not play with your outfits a bit. That's not true, I will prove this perception wrong in this very post today. You can go out of the box with your work outfit and here is some few how. Besides I rocked a corporate look earlier today and want you guys to get inspired by this look. I wore a three colour dress with a printed hem and had to pair it with that gorgeous red leather bag and cream sandals since the dress comes with black, red and cream. Couldn't have thought of a better way to wear this outfit than how I did. This look can perfectly pass for a work outfit, and it is obviously not boring to me at all. So why don't you get inspirations from the look and these tips below..
  • The CLASSIC Look: This is probably the most common and easiest way to dress for office, regardless of your job, but also the most likely to get you looking boring, unless you remember this one tip, always wear a statement piece, or just a more fun item to your look (shoes, bag, jewellery, watch, lips, nails) It’s all in the details.
  •  The CASUAL Business Look: or the-can-I-wear-jeans-to-work is actually pretty easy to do and quite versatile. The tip is to always wear heels, a very smart/feminine top (think silky blouse, men-shirts, structured tops), a blazer and a professional bag. Have fun with accessories and even shoes and bags depending on your job.
  • CARELESS Chic: is a look for those who have got slightly more penchant for fashion but look like they don’t give a crap, yet, to the trained eye they are street style worthy. The tip is to clash different style items, play with shapes (slouchy versus fitted), with looks (feminine and masculine). Heels look best with this style.
  • GLAMOROUS At The Office: is a look for all those sexy women who rule the world, and would rather do it in bright lips, sky high heels and outfits that can go from 9 am to late dinner cocktails. The tip is always in the posh fabulous heels. Expensive perfumes, rich fabrics, pencil skirts and silky blouses, long trousers, statement golden necklaces, brand watches and massive bags or clutches. These ladies are not afraid to flaunt it all.
  • SOPHISTICATED Office Wear: is easy to do, but it needs training, so experiment away and have fun with clothes. The tip for this look is, enjoy fashion and always wear at least 1 statement piece, clash styles, use a classy look for a start base and then add items according to your personality and job. Men inspired looks with super sexy heels, massive bling, luxe sweatshirts with classy pencil skirts, hats, prints, leather, sheer, denim.
  • SIMPLE & FEMININE: is an easy look if you’re the kinda girl who loves flowy flirty dresses, tiny jewelry and looking casual smart all the time. If you think chiffon and flirty is not for office think again. The tip, it’s all about the hem. Wear knee-length or over-the-knee dresses or skirts in any color or print, clinged at the waist, paired with smart blazers. Shoes wise, heels look better but you can also do flats.
  • The EDGY Look: are not for the faint hearted ones, nor for all work domains, although if I may say so, one can add a slight edge to any look and get away with it. This style is more appropriate for those who work creative jobs and have less of a strict office attire, so they can add a bit of their own thing into it like boots, leather, T-shirts, darker lips, nail-art. The tip is to remember you’re still going to work, so mix and match statement and simple.

Weekend is tomorrow baes, I personally can't wait. What about you?😉
